“We are thrilled to introduce and share our new state of the art core-fitness facilities,” said Heidi Strong, Owner/Instructor at Pilates Napa Valley and Studio C. “For the past 7 years, we have truly enjoyed helping our clients energize their lives and improve their overall health and wellness, strength, posture, and flexibility by offering affordable, personalized Reformer Pilates instruction. Now with our expansion and the opening of Studio C—which stands for Core, Cardio, and Conditioning, we are excited to offer many new class options, beyond Reformer Pilates, based on the most current fitness techniques,” said Strong.
Along with the traditional Pilates classes, new core-based fitness classes include:
BarreAmped®, a ballet barre toning and conditioning method based on Pilates, modern and classical dance, yoga and deep stretching—“It’s what our clients have been asking for!” said Strong.
BarreAmped® Bootcamp, the same body-shaping, BarreAmped® workout – combined with heart rate-raising, fat-burning cardio intervals in a more traditional Boot-camp style.
Piloxing®, a non-stop cardio interval fusion of standing Pilates, boxing, and dance to burn maximum calories, build lean muscles and increase stamina.
MOTR® Classes, MOre Than a Roller, combines the comfort of a foam roller with the challenge of three weight level resistances, giving you a challenging and incredibly diverse workout.
BOSU Balance Blast, A cardio, sculpting class using a BOSU fitness device-- an inflated rubber hemisphere attached to a rigid platform-- to tone and strengthen core muscle groups.
Hot Power Yoga and more coming soon!
All classes, whether ballet-barre based, cardio, core or high-intensity, reflect the original six principles of Joseph Pilates: control, breath, concentration, flow, centering, and precision.
About Pilates Napa Valley
Founded in 2007, Pilates Napa Valley is a unique Pilates studio offering affordable, personalized Pilates instruction in small, semi-private fitness based classes. For all ages and fitness levels, Pilates’ whole-body method strengthens, tones, and slims, developing important core stability while improving posture. For the past 7 years, founder and owner Heidi Strong, and her team of certified instructors have provided clients the benefits of Pilates Reformer Classes, taught in an intimate setting, with Napa and Yountville locations. Spring of 2014, Strong closed the Yountville location and decided to expand the Napa studio into an adjacent space. Also in 2014, Strong joined forces with Lori Jones, founder and owner of Amica Studios to incorporate new class programming and a seven-days-a-week schedule of barre, cardio and core classes. Opening June 2014, the new expanded Pilates Napa Valley and Studio C are located in the Northwood Shopping Center at Trancas and Jefferson in Napa, CA. Designed by Napa Valley architect Paul Kelley, creator of many local renowned restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, fitness centers, and other commercial spaces, the new Pilates studio boasts 2,300 hundred square feet of space and also includes new fitness equipment and amenities. Strong plans to re-open a new Yountville studio in 2015. For more information visit www.pilatesnapavalley.com.
