Welcome to Pilates Napa Valley! We look forward to having you join our PNV community. We are a well-rounded studio offering a variety of different classes to our clients with our main focus on the Pilates method. All of our classes offered at PNV are based on the six principles of Pilates as defined by Joseph Pilates in the early 1920's. These six principles are; centering, concentation, control, precision, breath and flow.
What to Expect
Pilates If you have never been to Pilates class before, it may be a bit intimidating to see all the equipment. But it is as easy as learning how to use weights at the gym. You can perform a vast range of exercises and Pilates moves on the Reformers and other Pilates apparatus, using the springs to provide guidance and resistance throughout your workout. Our group classes tone and firm up the entire body, with special emphasis on the core while focusing on the classic Pilates principles. The springs can be adjusted to different resistance levels to whatever is right for you. We want you to walk away with an energized wow feeling! Pilates doesn’t stress your body in the ways that lifting weights or other workout methods may, this is why everyone can do it. Your bones will strengthen, muscles will tone and firm, and you will look and feel fit. As you work out and begin to feel better physically, we hope you will also begin to feel better mentally. You’ll stand taller, move with grace and most importantly, feel great!
