Studio C was inspired by the clients and the successful seven years of offering Pilates Reformer classes at Pilates Napa Valley. After listening to the demands of her clients, Heidi Strong, decided to expand and open an additional fitness studio, Studio C, that offered Cardio, Core and Connection classes to supplement her clients, as well as others, need for additional cardio in their workouts.
All the fitness methods selected to be taught at Studio C are founded on the principles of Joseph Pilates. These methods include, BarreAmped® (where classic Barre meets extreme results) and Piloxing® (a high intensity boxing, dance and Pilates fusion class). Both classes are a great way to amp up your workouts to achieve maximum results. In addition, we have carefully selected methods that use cutting edge research and fitness techniques.

BarreAmped is an intensive body shaping experience designed to produce reliable results, no matter the client. The method is influenced by classical and modern dance (though it is not a dance class) and utilizes a barre to achieve optimal positioning. Insights from Pilates, yoga, and orthopedic stretching also balance the method’s unique approach. BarreAmped is the ultra results oriented fitness regime created by fitness expert Suzanne Bowen.

Piloxing® cardio fusion incorporates cutting edge research and fitness techniques to burn maximum calories, build lean muscles, and increase stamina. The program uniquely blends the power, speed, and agility of boxing with the targeted sculpting and flexibility of Pilates. These techniques are also supplemented by the use of weighted gloves, further toning the arms and maximizing cardiovascular health. Add to that exhilarating dance moves and you have a muscle-toning, fat-burning workout that will make you feel physically and mentally empowered!
Viveca Jensen created the PILOXING® brand and programs by combining her extensive fitness experience and passion to create a unique exercise program that instructors around the world can embrace together. Viveca drew elements of dance, pilates and boxing to craft this new inter-disciplinary exercise program.
In Scandinavia where Viveca grew up, she obtained a Masters in Dance. She later became a Master Pilates instructor, a trained boxer and award-winning body builder. In dance, she trained at the internationally renowned Stockholm Ballet Academy and studied under Billy Goodson in Los Angeles. In fitness, Viveca learned Pilates straight from the lineage of Joseph H. Pilates himself. Passion and experience led Viveca to combine all these experiences and achievements to create PILOXING® cardio fusion.
